Who we are

SuperNotary is a business tool for notary signing agents. It keeps track of your signings, customers, invoices, expenses and mileage. This policy explains what information the app stores, why, who else touches it, and what you can ask us to do with it.

If anything here is unclear, email us at supernotaryapp@gmail.com.

What we collect

Your account: your name, email address, password and time zone. The password is stored in a scrambled form (hashed with a salt) that cannot be turned back into the password.

What you enter: your customers (names, company, phone, email, address, billing preferences), your signings (date, time, address, signer names and contact details, loan type, escrow number, instructions), invoices and payments, expenses and their receipt images, mileage entries and the addresses they start from, and your settings such as fees, notarial act prices and invoice details.

Technical records: when you sign in we keep a session token on your device so you stay signed in. The server keeps logs of requests (time, address the request came from, which part of the app was used, and any error) to keep the service running and to find problems.

We do not collect your device location. When you type an address, the app looks up matching addresses for you and stores the coordinates of the one you pick so mileage can be calculated.

We do not use advertising trackers or analytics services, and we do not sell information about you.

How we use it

To run the app: show you your records, calculate mileage and tax figures, produce invoices and reports, and email you things you ask for such as password resets.

To keep the service working: find and fix errors, prevent abuse, and keep your account secure.

We do not use your information for advertising and we do not share it with anyone for their own marketing.

Who else handles your information

We use a small number of service providers to run the app, and each sees only what it needs for its job: hosting and storage providers in the United States, where your records and receipt images are stored encrypted; an address lookup service, which receives the text you type into an address field so it can suggest matches; a service that reads receipt images to fill in the details for you, when you use that feature; and providers that deliver our email and report errors to us.

We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect the rights and safety of SuperNotary, its users or others.

How long we keep it

Your records stay in your account for as long as you keep the account. Records you delete in the app are hidden from your views and removed from our systems over time; earlier versions of replaced or deleted receipt images are cleared 90 days after they stop being current, and database backups are kept for 30 days.

To close your account and have your information deleted, email supernotaryapp@gmail.com from the address on the account. We will confirm before we delete anything, and some records may be kept where the law requires it (for example, invoices for tax purposes).

How we protect it

All connections to the app are encrypted (HTTPS). Data and backups are encrypted where they are stored. Passwords are never stored in a readable form. Access to the systems that hold your information is limited to the people who run the service.

No system is perfectly secure. If we learn of a breach that affects you, we will tell you.

Your choices

You can see and change your account details and records inside the app at any time. You can ask us for a copy of your information, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by emailing supernotaryapp@gmail.com.

SuperNotary is a tool for working adults. It is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top and, for changes that matter, tell you inside the app or by email.
