Who we are and what this covers

SuperNotary is a business tool for notary signing agents. It keeps track of your signings, customers, invoices, expenses and mileage, and turns them into reports. These terms are the agreement between you and SuperNotary for using the app and the website at app.supernotary.io.

By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy, which explains what information we store and why. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

Your account

You must be 18 or older to use SuperNotary.

Keep your login details private. Do not share your password or let anyone else use your account. You are responsible for everything that happens under your account, so tell us right away at supernotaryapp@gmail.com if you think someone else has gained access to it.

Give us accurate account details and keep them current, so we can reach you about your subscription and about changes that affect you.

Subscription and payment

SuperNotary costs $19 a month or $190 a year. You pay in advance, and your subscription renews automatically at the end of each period until you cancel.

You can cancel at any time from your account settings. Your access continues until the end of the period you have paid for, and you will not be charged again. We do not give refunds for partial periods, except where the law requires it.

If you were granted founding-member pricing, that price stays in effect for as long as your subscription stays continuously active. If your subscription lapses and you later start a new one, the regular price applies.

We can change our prices. We will give you at least 30 days' notice by email before a change takes effect, and a change never applies to a period you have already paid for. If you do not want to pay the new price, cancel before your next renewal.

Payments are handled by a payment processor. SuperNotary does not see or store your card number.

Your data

The records you enter into SuperNotary belong to you. We store and process them only to provide the service to you, as described in the Privacy Policy. We do not sell them and we do not use them for advertising.

You can take your records with you at any time by downloading your PDF reports and invoices from the app.

To close your account and have its data deleted, email supernotaryapp@gmail.com from the address on the account. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. Your records disappear from the live service when we delete them, and they clear from our backups within the retention window described in the Privacy Policy. Some records may be kept where the law requires it, as the Privacy Policy explains.

Acceptable use

Use SuperNotary only for lawful purposes and only to run your own notary business.

Do not copy, scrape or bulk-download the service or its contents, and do not resell, sublicense or share your access with anyone else.

Do not try to break into the service, get around its security, or gain access to another user's account. Do not overload the service, interfere with how it runs, or send it automated traffic.

Do not upload anything you do not have the right to use, or anything that is unlawful, abusive or harmful.

What the service is and is not

SuperNotary is a record-keeping and business-management tool. It is not a notary service. It does not perform, witness or certify notarizations, and using it does not make you a notary or a signing agent. Your commission, your notarial acts and your compliance with your state's notary laws are your own responsibility.

SuperNotary does not give legal, tax or accounting advice. The tax-related figures it shows, including the mileage deduction, the self-employment-tax exemption on notarial fees, and the profit and loss report, are estimates calculated from the numbers you enter and the rates in your settings. They can be wrong if the inputs are wrong, if the rules change, or if your situation differs from what the calculation assumes.

You and your tax professional are responsible for what you file. Check the figures before you rely on them, and ask a qualified professional about your own circumstances.

Changes to the service

SuperNotary changes often. We add features most weeks, and we may change or remove features as the product develops.

If we remove a feature that matters to how you work, we will tell you in the app or by email before it goes.

Services we rely on

We use a small number of outside services to run SuperNotary: for hosting and storage, for address lookup, for reading receipt images (an AI service), and for delivering email. Each one sees only what it needs for its job. The Privacy Policy describes what each of them receives.

These services are outside our control. If one of them has an outage, the part of SuperNotary that depends on it may not work until it comes back.

Ownership

The SuperNotary software, brand, design and content belong to SuperNotary. While your subscription is active, you have a personal, non-transferable right to use the service for your own business. You may not copy, modify, sell or lend it to anyone else.

Your own records remain yours, as described under Your data.

If you send us suggestions, ideas or other feedback, we may use them freely to improve the service, without owing you anything for them.

Ending the agreement

You can cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. To close your account entirely and have its data deleted, email supernotaryapp@gmail.com from the address on the account. There is no refund for the rest of a paid period, except where the law requires it.

We can suspend or close your account if you break these terms or if your subscription is not paid. If a payment fails, we will let you know so you can update your card. If it is not fixed, your subscription ends and your access stops until you subscribe again. Your records are kept as the Privacy Policy describes, so you can pick up where you left off.

If we decide to discontinue SuperNotary, we will give you at least 30 days' notice by email and a way to export your data before the service shuts down.

When your account ends, so does this agreement, except for the sections on Ownership, Disclaimers and limits on liability, and Governing law, which continue to apply.

Disclaimers and limits on liability

SuperNotary is provided as is. We work to keep it accurate and available, but we do not promise that it will be error-free, that it will always be available, or that it will suit every need. To the extent the law allows, we make no other promises about the service, whether spoken, written or implied.

To the extent the law allows, SuperNotary's total liability to you for any claim arising from the service is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose. We are not liable for indirect losses, such as lost income, lost business, lost data or missed tax deductions, even if we were told they were possible.

Some places do not allow some of these limits. Where that is the case, the limits apply only as far as the law permits.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. Any dispute about them or about the service will be brought in the courts of that state, unless the law where you live gives you a different right.

Before going to court, please email us at supernotaryapp@gmail.com and give us a chance to sort things out.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms, we will update the date at the top. For changes that matter, we will tell you in the app or by email before they take effect.

If you keep using SuperNotary after a change takes effect, that means you accept the new terms. If you do not agree, cancel your subscription before the change takes effect.
